Gyoza. You can see some snippets of how I made this in my highlights π
.
.
Serves approximately 60 gyoza’s
Ingredients:
500g pork mince
400g cabbage, finely chopped
1 brown onion, finely chopped
5 stalks garlic chives, finely chopped
Medium size ginger, grated
3 garlic cloves, grated
Gyoza wrappers .
.
Marinade:
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
2 tbsp sesame oil
4 tbsp potato starch
2 tbsp sake (optional)
2 tsp sugar
Couple pinches of pepper
Dipping sauce:
Soy sauce, white vinegar and rayu .
.
.
Mix all ingredients together and marinate with sauces
Wrap gyoza
Brush a flat plan with sesame oil, on low-med heat
Place gyoza side by side on the pan
Pour boiling water into the pan until gyozaβs are half covered and put the lid on, wait 5-6 minutes
Notice gyozaβs sizzling and water has evaporated (leave in for longer if not), take the lid off and drizzle sesame oil, put the lid back on and wait 2-3 minutes
Once the gyoza has browned at the bottom, remove from pan and serve with dipping sauce
