Crispy Noodles with Gravy
I’d recommend adding meat in this one too, I forgot to ๐Ÿ˜…. Recipe below includes meat. Check out my highlights for visuals.

1kg chow mein (Gold Star brand)
Vegetables of your choice
150g – 200g of protein of your choice, sliced and marinated in 1 tbsp soy sauce and dash of pepper for 10-15 min
3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
1 bulb (small) ginger, skin peeled and thinly sliced
3 cups hot water .

Gravy sauce:
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp chinese wine
1tbsp oyster
1 tbsp chicken powder
1 tsp sugar

Thickener:
Mix 4-6 tbsp of cornstarch in cold water

Noodles:
In a pan or wok, heat up 1-2 tbsp oil on low-medium heat
Add noodles in and shape it into a circle (size of your choice)
Let it cook for few minutes until you hear a sizzle (lift it up a bit to have a look)
Flip or if youโ€™re not feeling confident, slide it onto a plate and then flip it back into the pan
Let it cook for a few minutes until you can see a crunchy texture
Transfer onto a plate

Gravy
Combine gravy sauce into a separate bowl
Heat up 1-2 tbsp oil in a wok, add garlic and ginger and fry until light brown
Add protein (if applicable) and cook through
Add vegetables and fry until cooked
Add in water
Add in sauce
Add in corn starch in cold water and stir until sauce thickens
Serve sauce over noodles!
