Honey Chicken

Ingredients:
Chicken Breast:
450-500g Chicken Breast, cut into medium bite sized pieces
Β½ tsp salt
ΒΌ tsp garlic powder
Couple dashes of pepper
3 tbsp water

Honey Sauce:
85g ketchup
50g sugar
43g honey
45ml water

Batter:
1 egg
ΒΌ tsp salt
β…™ tsp garlic powder
147ml cold water
2 tsp baking powder
65g cornstarch
105g flour
2 tbsp vegetable oil

Garnish: white sesame seeds

Method:
1. Marinate chicken breast in a bowl
2. Combine ingredients for honey sauce in a separate bowl and heat up on medium heat until it bubbles, then turn heat off. Set aside.
3. Combine ingredients for batter, IN ORDER in another bowl until whisked through
4. Add all the marinated chicken into the batter
5. Heat up canola/vegetable oil to 180 degrees celsius
6. With a toothpick or tongs, add the chicken carefully and individually into the oil for a few minutes
7. Repeat step 6 (double fry)
8. Mix the chicken in with the sauce and garnish with white sesame seeds!
